Spin

Effect: A coin is made to spin due to “static electricity”

Method/Presentation: You don’t actually use static electricity to make the coin spin, but you make it appear that way. Balance a coin on a table under your right index finger (with other fingers closed in a fist).

Rub over the top of the finger with the coin with your left index finger (with the rest of your hand closed in a fist). Pretend you are “building up a static charge” by rubbing your left index finger outwards on top of your right index finger. When you want to coin to spin, you secretly stick out your left thumb and knock the coin on its edge when your hand is in its outward motion. The coin will spin out from under your right index finger and spin on the tabletop.
